Become a Consulting Arborist Society Member

The Consulting Arborist Society has two categories of membership; Professional Membership & Ordinary Membership.

Both categories of membership have voting rights at the AGM and qualify for the same members discounts on CAS seminars

The differences are that Ordinary members are not allowed to advertise that classification of membership in any way. The Ordinary category is therefore for aspiring Consulting Arborists who want to become involved and want to take advantage of members discounts as they cover one or more of the seminars that are required to graduate on to full Professional Membership status.

Professional CAS Member status entitles paid up members to use the various logo’s that apply to the various Areas of Professional Competency and of course the use of the CAS logo itself. We provide four large self adhesive stickers (two on white and two on clear vinyl) equally useful for vehicles or clipboards.

It also entitles them to have a listing on each and every Professional Members listings page of the CAS website for which they have proved full compliance with the list of pre-requisites detailed on each of the pages.

First and foremost they have to place on file and maintain a current copy of their Professional Indemnity Insurance with CAS on each renewal. Failure to do this or to inform CAS of any change or cancellation or lapse in insurance cover would render their Professional Membership as suspended which also suspends all benefits associated with Professional Membership.

CAS Membership fees are currently £125 for Ordinary Members and £125 for Professional Members and memberships run from January the 1st to December the 31st every year.
